Biography

Jamie is an immigration attorney whose practice encompasses business immigration, removal defense, family-based immigration, and humanitarian relief. She advises clients on a wide range of employment-based matters, including H-1B, E-2, F-1, and O-1 visas, PERM labor certifications. She has litigated cases before immigration courts in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Santa Ana, and has been successful in obtaining for clients various forms of relief such as asylum, withholding of removal, waivers of inadmissibility, cancellations of removal, and adjustment of status. She has received for her clients reversals of final orders of removal at the Board of Immigration Appeals stage, has authored briefs before the Ninth Circuit as well as writs of mandamus and APA actions in federal courts. In addition, she has extensive experience with U visas, T visas, and VAWA self-petitions.

Jamie earned her J.D. from the University of California Gould School of Law. As an immigrant who navigated the Green Card process herself, she brings both professional insight and deep personal understanding to her practice. Outside of law, Jamie holds an MFA in Creative Writing from UC Irvine and writes fiction in her spare time. She is fluent in English and Korean.
